Take TEFL abroad, take TEFL in Prague!

If you’re a native English speaker looking to move abroad, teaching English as a foreign language is one of the best ways to make it happen.
If you choose the TEFL route (which you should), you can either take a TEFL course in your home country, or you can take a TEFL course abroad. I would personally recommend taking your TEFL course abroad in a place you could see yourself living in. For me, that place was Prague, Czech Republic. In retrospect, taking my TEFL course in Prague was a great decision. I didn’t know this at the time, but actually being in the country I was going to be teaching in made a huge difference. I was able to soak up the culture and feeling of Prague while simultaneously honing my TEFL skills. I was also able to gain real world experiences of teaching English as a foreign language.
My advice: take TEFL abroad. Even if you choose to move to a different country afterward, the experience is invaluable.
